Outline is still at the forefront of the acoustical and physical research that allows us to keep evolving our products.
We have a slightly different view of the world from some of our contemporaries: we have always understood that the ultimate goal of a sound system must be transparency, to provide the perfect emotional and experiential conduit between the source and the listener.
What does this mean in reality? It means that the technologies we develop exist only to deliver the experience. Great audio (whether recorded music, speech, special effects, ambience, live performance or anything else) can and should have a profound effect on human emotions.
Especially when combined with stimuli to the other senses, it is possible to create experiential realities that enrapture the spirit and bewitch the emotions.
In short, it is what our products do that makes them interesting, not what they are... it’s not about what people hear, it’s about what they feel.
All Outline systems and associated technologies are still 100% conceived, designed and manufactured here in Italy by our own staff.
The majority of our subcontractors and suppliers are also located within our local region of excellence (Lombardy), and this approach gives us total control of the manner in which our designs are converted into physical products.
This, combined with the fact that 100% of our quality-control and inspection work is done manually, allows us to deliver products of extraordinary consistency and quality.
